The two leaves are symbolic of MGR, so two grand functions were concluded successfully on 14th and 15th August 2011 in the fond memory of our beloved MGR.

All the old artists acted with makkal thilagam M.G.R were present on that function.After so many years actress Ratna who acted with M.G.R in the movie Enga Veettu Pillai,Ithayakkani,Thozilali was seen in this function ,all the M.G.R fans was very happy to see her.A special book was released about thirudathe ,and actress B.Saroja devi inaugurated the book.A forty mins Audio visual from the movies of Makkal thilagam was screen on the function presented by M.G.Chakrapani’s grandson M.G.C.B.Pradeep
The consecration (kumbhabhishekam) of Arulmigu MGR Aalayam, situated about 40 km from Chennai,was conducted as per Hindu customs on Monday.Thousands of MGR fans from across the southern states was present for consecration ceremony.
MGR Temple in Nathamedu near Thirunindravoor was constructed by MGR Devotees Kalaivanan and Shanthi Kalaivanan. The temple was consecrated today.
