The people of Tamil Nadu paid tribute to Late Chief Minister and founder of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) M G Ramachandran(MGR) on his 23rd death anniversary.
AIADMK supremo Ms J Jayalalithaa paid homage and placed wreath in MGR Samathi at Marina Beach on Friday, along with Thousands of her party cadre and general public.
While addressing from the specially erected dias after paying homage to her mentor on Kamarajar Salai, Ms Jayalalithaa said that the coming Assembly elections will be a ''war between 'Dharma' and 'Adharma' and she exuded confidence of the AIADMK winning the war and coming back to power.
"The party was confident of winning the 2011 Assembly elections, “ as people were angry with the DMK Regime” she revealed.
''Be courageous, there is no need to be afraid of anything", Ms Jayalalithaa said.
"I will be in the lead and show the way to you,'' she said and exhorted them to work tirelessly to secure the votes of the people and bring the AIADMK back to power.
